The ridges emerge by battening irregularly when weaving by hand. This brings out or hides the colors. Each length remains unique but as a whole the weft is reproducible. Variation on the fabric 'Woven Waves' followed in 2000. The fabric 'Ribbel' was nominated for 'The Dutch Design Award 2006'.
