Collection: The Ridge Collection

Inge Bečka, porcelain designer, and Mariëtte Wolbert, textile designer, have jointly created 'The Ridge Collection' .

The foundation of this collection is a woven cloth designed by Mariëtte, handwoven in India. This design was nominated for the Dutch Design Award . Mariëtte incorporates this cloth into 3D objects and tiles.

As an annual resident artist in China, Inge uses these objects and tiles to create plaster molds for porcelain casting. The shapes and contours of these castings are individually shaped and adapted, making each object unique. In this way, "The Ridge Collection" is produced exclusively in small series.

The 'Ridge Collection 2015' took shape via Purmerend, India, Westbeemster and China.
